The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro is generally less expensive than the MSI Stealth GS77 and offers solid performance with an AMD processor and Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU, which is suitable for gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering tasks. However, its battery life is shorter, and it's less portable due to its weight. The MSI Stealth GS77, with its Intel i7 processor, Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU, and more RAM, is more expensive but provides excellent performance for intensive tasks and gaming. It has a larger screen, better battery life, a more premium build, and it's slightly more portable, although it also comes with a heavier power brick. If budget is a constraint, the Lenovo is a strong contender, while if you seek a premium, high-performance laptop with longer battery life, consider the MSI. Give Feedback

The MSI Stealth GS77 has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 for gaming and AI, content creation, and software development.
When choosing a laptop for general use, the Lenovo Legion Pro 5's and the MSI Stealth GS77's high resolution and bright display assure clear and vivid imagery, which is ideal for browsing and streaming. For engineering and design, these laptops' wide color gamuts offer precise color reproduction necessary for detailed design work. However, both models may not suit gaming and 3D applications as well due to their lower refresh rates, which can make fast-paced visuals feel less smooth compared to screens with higher refresh rates.

How the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 and the MSI Stealth GS77 compare to other laptops
"It doesn't quite match its Legion Pro 7i sibling as an Editors' Choice winner, but Lenovo's AMD-powered Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 is a stylish, well-built gaming laptop with solid performance at both 1080p and its sharper native resolution. It's cheaper than some comparably equipped machines and better than some similarly priced ones. That's a recipe for success, even without its frequent availability of discounts or sales. A brighter screen and longer battery life would be nice, but even as is the Legion Pro 5 earns a solid recommendation."
"The MSI Stealth GS77 is better than the GS76... mostly. The GS77 is a few steps forward and a few steps back from the GS76. Improvements are numerous including the stronger and more rigid skeleton, higher resolution webcam, larger clickpad, easier serviceability, relatively similar battery runtimes, newer display options, and higher performance at about the same TDP and TGP levels as before. CPU performance is better than expected even when compared to other laptops with Core i7 or Core i9 processors. The newer model feels more substantial than the outgoing one for higher quality impressions as well."
