The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 has a better screen than the MSI Pulse GL66 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 offers a balance with a capable display for everyday tasks and work in engineering due to its resolution and color accuracy, but it falls short for gaming and 3D because of its lower refresh rate. Conversely, the MSI Pulse GL66, while still providing an adequate display for general activities and design work, may not offer the level of detail or color fidelity professionals seek, and its screen refresh rate also isn't ideal for gaming and 3D applications. Choosing between them depends on whether you prioritize better color reproduction for design tasks with the Lenovo or if the slightly better performance in other areas with the MSI is more appealing for your use case.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 and the MSI Pulse GL66 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 is one of the most powerful RTX 3050 Ti laptops. If you disregard the mediocre quality of the case in terms of the material and workmanship, Lenovo has created a successful budget gaming laptop with the IdeaPad Gaming. Thanks to high TDPs and constant performance development, the Core i5-12500H and GeForce RTX 3050 Ti are able to show their full power, while in contrast, the (mostly slower) competitors deliver a better battery life. However, hardly any of the alternative laptops are able to reach the image quality of the Gaming 3. Most of the competitors are left behind in terms of the color space and brightness."
"The MSI Pulse GL66 has a lot of potential for improvement. Although the RTX 3060 is only able to use 105 watts, we still liked the gaming performance, particularly since this also makes the Pulse comfortably efficient but not slow by any means. Neither the dark display with its lame response times, nor USB 2.0 or the lack of Thunderbolt will please real gamers. The use of a sticker factory seal, which is at least questionable, also won't inspire any enthusiasm. It is obvious that the laptop is really designed for price-conscious gamers."
