When choosing between the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro and the Lenovo ThinkPad P16, consider both price and intended use. The IdeaPad 5 Pro is less expensive and might be better suited for general use with ample performance for everyday tasks and light gaming. It's also more portable due to its lighter weight. On the other hand, the ThinkPad P16 is pricier but offers superior performance for engineering tasks, 3D work, or more intensive applications, owing to its more powerful processor and graphics card. It also has a higher resolution display, which could benefit designers or video editors, but this contributes to it being heavier and possibly having shorter battery life. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Florian Glaser | September 2022
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro turns out a successful all-rounder that, aside from 3D applications, always strikes a good or very good figure. This begins with the elegant metal case that isn't particularly light but fairly robust, giving a high-quality impression. The input devices are also better than those of many competitors. Both the keyboard and the touchpad are attractive and comfortable. In addition, the performance of the Ryzen 5 6600HS is easily able to keep up with the Intel competitors."

PCMag

Eric Grevstad | February 2023
"It's only a few months since we gave the MSI CreatorPro X17 one of our rare 4.5-star ratings and our top mobile workstation honor, but the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 1 matches that achievement in a more premium overall build. Ultimately, its build quality, screen, and keyboard give our latest Editors' Choice nod to the Lenovo—it's enough of a monster on almost all fronts that it simply cannot be ignored."
