The Lenovo Flex 5 16 offers a balance of performance and value, suitable for everyday tasks and some light engineering work with its Intel i7 processor and Iris Xe graphics. Its 16-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and touchscreen capability provides clear visuals and versatility for tablet use. With a lower midrange price, it's a cost-effective choice for those who need a larger screen and don't require top-tier performance for intensive tasks. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 16, while pricier, delivers superior visuals with an OLED screen, higher resolution of 2880 x 1800, and better color accuracy, which is ideal for content creators and those who prioritize display quality. The Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor and Adreno 750 graphics cater to users with a focus on general use and light gaming, with the added benefit of excellent battery life and portability due to its thinner and lighter design. If you're looking for a more affordable option with a good balance of features for general use and some flexibility for light professional work, the Lenovo Flex 5 16 is a solid choice. However, if you're willing to invest in a laptop with a superior display, longer battery life, and a more portable design for general use and content consumption, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 16 is the way to go. Keep in mind that the Samsung model may not perform as well in CPU-intensive tasks compared to the Lenovo, but it excels in graphics-related activities and offers a premium 2-in-1 experience. NotebookCheck

Andreas Osthoff | April 2023
"The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 is a solidly equipped, 2-in-1 in the lower price segment. Performance is definitely sufficient for everyday tasks and in tests the battery proved itself to be very economical. That aside, there is a lot of standard fare on show and a search for real highlights ends in vain. The low color coverage and reflective display can be avoided by going for an optional 2.5K display but this also presumably results in poorer battery life. The cooling uses only one fan and leads to a raised temperature on one side of the device under load. Additionally, there is very loud fan noise, also under load or when gaming. On top of that, we also occasionally noticed electronic noises."
