The Lenovo Flex 5 16 comes at a lower price and offers good performance for general use, with a touchscreen and longer battery life, making it suitable for productivity and portability. However, if you prioritize high-end gaming, 3D rendering, or intensive engineering tasks and are willing to spend more, the MSI Vector GP76 is the better option, with a powerful processor, superior GPU, and higher performance scores in demanding applications, but it is heavier and has a shorter battery life. The MSI Vector GP76 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo Flex 5 16 is good.
The MSI Vector GP76 is very good for engineering and design due to its powerful Intel i7-12700H processor, abundant 32GB RAM and a high-performance Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU, which outperform the Lenovo Flex 5 16's i7-1255U processor, 16GB RAM, and integrated Iris Xe graphics. Additionally, the Vector GP76's larger screen and higher contrast ratio provide a more vivid display, though it is heavier and less portable than the convertible Lenovo Flex 5 16, which offers a touchscreen and pen support for design work but has lower overall performance and screen quality.

The MSI Vector GP76 has a better screen than the Lenovo Flex 5 16 for gaming and AI, and software development.
For general use, both Lenovo Flex 5 16 and MSI Vector GP76 offer adequate resolution, panel type, and brightness, ensuring a pleasant viewing experience for daily tasks like browsing and video streaming. In engineering and design, users will appreciate the wide color gamuts on both devices, which provide more accurate color representation for detailed work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, their lower refresh rates may not be as smooth or responsive compared to laptops designed specifically for these purposes, which can detract from the immersive experience in fast-paced games and 3D rendering.

How the Lenovo Flex 5 16 and the MSI Vector GP76 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 is a solidly equipped, 2-in-1 in the lower price segment. Performance is definitely sufficient for everyday tasks and in tests the battery proved itself to be very economical. That aside, there is a lot of standard fare on show and a search for real highlights ends in vain. The low color coverage and reflective display can be avoided by going for an optional 2.5K display but this also presumably results in poorer battery life. The cooling uses only one fan and leads to a raised temperature on one side of the device under load. Additionally, there is very loud fan noise, also under load or when gaming. On top of that, we also occasionally noticed electronic noises."
"The MSI Vector GP76 12UGS is a gaming laptop on speed. The advantages are clear: The Vector GP76 is a real gamer with its 360 Hz display and super-fast response times. In addition, the Core i7-12700H has double the power of the CPU in its predecessor and another highlight is the Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti with a real power consumption of 150 watts. This places the device in the top range of our database. The Vector can also operate rather quietly, offers a full sound range, improved battery runtimes, a key-configurable RGB keyboard, a very stable chassis and good upgrade options. Moreover, the display produces a nice, rich and clear picture."
