The Lenovo Flex 5 16 is a 2-in-1 convertible, suitable for general use and offers the flexibility of a laptop and a tablet, with better battery life and portability due to its lighter weight. In contrast, the Lenovo Legion 7i Pro is designed for high-performance needs such as gaming, 3D rendering, or intensive engineering tasks, supported by a more powerful processor and advanced graphics. However, it has a higher price and is heavier, which affects portability. The decision depends on whether your priority is performance for demanding applications or a more budget-friendly, versatile, and portable device for everyday use. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i is excellent for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo Flex 5 16 is only fair.
The Lenovo Flex 5 16 is fair for gaming and 3D due to its integrated graphics, which are suitable for casual gaming but not for high-end games or 3D applications, and a standard screen refresh rate, which is fine for everyday tasks but not ideal for fast-paced games. In contrast, the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i excels in gaming and 3D with its dedicated high-performance Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU that can handle demanding games and 3D rendering smoothly, and a high screen refresh rate that provides a fluid visual experience during intense gaming sessions.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i is excellent for engineering and design, while the Lenovo Flex 5 16 is good.
The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i surpasses the Lenovo Flex 5 16 in engineering and design applications due to its more powerful CPU, double the RAM, and a superior GPU, providing excellent performance for demanding software, albeit with reduced portability and more weight. While the Flex 5 16 offers a good balance between performance and portability with a capable CPU and GPU suitable for lighter tasks, decent screen quality, and a more manageable weight, it may not handle intensive engineering software as smoothly.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i has a better screen than the Lenovo Flex 5 16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
When considering laptops for general use, like browsing and watching videos, both the Lenovo Flex 5 16 and the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i offer ample screen resolution and brightness for clear and vivid displays. For engineering and design applications where color accuracy is crucial, these laptops also provide broad color gamuts, ensuring that colors are represented faithfully. However, for gaming and 3D applications where motion clarity is essential, the lower refresh rates of these two models' screens make them less suitable, as they can't render fast-moving images as smoothly as higher refresh rate displays.

"The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 is a solidly equipped, 2-in-1 in the lower price segment. Performance is definitely sufficient for everyday tasks and in tests the battery proved itself to be very economical. That aside, there is a lot of standard fare on show and a search for real highlights ends in vain. The low color coverage and reflective display can be avoided by going for an optional 2.5K display but this also presumably results in poorer battery life. The cooling uses only one fan and leads to a raised temperature on one side of the device under load. Additionally, there is very loud fan noise, also under load or when gaming. On top of that, we also occasionally noticed electronic noises."
"Passionate gamers who want to play demanding modern titles with maximum details and don't mind spending the moolah will find the Lenovo Legion 7 Pro to be the right choice. The bright, sharp, and color-accurate 16:10 QHD 240 Hz display makes for an immersive viewing experience. The hardware is housed in a stylish chassis that feels premium and scores well in terms of workmanship and stability. Other aspects such as sound quality, input devices, and connectivity also seem to be near-perfect."
