For a balance of performance and portability with a focus on gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning tasks, the Lenovo Legion 5 16 (2024) is a strong contender. It offers a larger, higher resolution screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is beneficial for immersive visual experiences and productivity. The Intel i9 processor and Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU provide robust performance, and the 32GB of RAM ensures smooth multitasking. However, it's slightly pricier and heavier than its counterpart, which might be a consideration if budget and portability are key factors for you. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" is a compelling choice for those who prioritize cost-effectiveness and a more compact form factor without significantly compromising on performance. With the AMD Ryzen 7 processor and the same Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, it delivers excellent gaming and creative performance, while being easier on the wallet and slightly lighter. The 16:9 aspect ratio and 165Hz refresh rate make it suitable for high-speed gaming, though the screen is a bit smaller and the color accuracy is marginally less than the Legion 5 16. Ultimately, if you value a larger, more vibrant display and top-tier performance and are willing to carry a bit more weight and spend a bit more, the Legion 5 16 (2024) is the way to go. If, however, you're looking for a powerful yet more affordable and portable option, the Legion 5 15" is an excellent choice that still packs a punch for gaming and creative workloads. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Andreas Osthoff | September 2021
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
