If you're looking for a laptop that offers a balance between cost and performance, especially for gaming or more demanding software, the HP Victus 15 may suit you well while saving you money. However, the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x leans towards users who prioritize a lightweight and portable design, potentially better for everyday tasks and carrying around, although it comes with a higher price tag. The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The HP Victus 15's screen quality suffices for general tasks due to adequate resolution and brightness, but for tasks like engineering and design, it falls short because its color accuracy and gamut coverage don't match the higher standards required. The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x excels in screen quality for both general use and professional design work with its sharp resolution, high brightness, and excellent color gamut coverage, ensuring accurate color representation. However, both laptops are limited for 3D and high-end gaming activities because their screens don't have the high refresh rates needed for smooth motion rendering, although they may still provide passable visuals for less demanding games.

How the HP Victus 15 and the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
