The HP Victus 15 is a budget-friendlier option with decent performance, suitable for everyday tasks and some gaming, thanks to its mid-range graphics card. However, the MSI Stealth GS77, while more expensive, offers high-end performance with a more powerful CPU and GPU, making it better suited for demanding tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or high-end gaming. The Stealth also has a larger and higher-resolution display, more memory and storage, and superior build quality. If you need a laptop that's easy to carry around, the lighter and smaller HP may be more practical, although it does have a shorter battery life and less robust build than the MSI. Hence, the HP Victus 15 is a value option for general use and moderate gaming, while the MSI Stealth GS77 is an investment for those needing top-tier performance and features. Give Feedback

The MSI Stealth GS77 outperforms the HP Victus 15 in general use due to its superior main processor and RAM, which greatly enhance multitasking and overall speed, along with a screen offering higher resolution and color accuracy, which is beneficial for multimedia tasks. However, the Stealth GS77 is less portable and has a modestly shorter typical usage battery life, which might make the HP Victus 15 a more suitable option for those who prioritize mobility and longer unplugged usage.

The MSI Stealth GS77 has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The HP Victus 15, with its respectable resolution and brightness, offers a pleasant viewing experience perfect for everyday tasks, but its limited color gamut and standard refresh rate may not satisfy those involved in engineering, design, or fast-paced gaming. On the other hand, the MSI Stealth GS77's high-resolution, bright display with wide color coverage excels in detailed tasks like engineering and design, yet its lower refresh rate leaves action-packed games and 3D applications feeling less fluid. Both models compromise on gaming and 3D performance due to their refresh rates, but for all other professional and casual use, the MSI provides superior visual fidelity.

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
"The MSI Stealth GS77 is better than the GS76... mostly. The GS77 is a few steps forward and a few steps back from the GS76. Improvements are numerous including the stronger and more rigid skeleton, higher resolution webcam, larger clickpad, easier serviceability, relatively similar battery runtimes, newer display options, and higher performance at about the same TDP and TGP levels as before. CPU performance is better than expected even when compared to other laptops with Core i7 or Core i9 processors. The newer model feels more substantial than the outgoing one for higher quality impressions as well."
