If your budget is a concern and you won't be doing tasks that require the highest performance, the HP Victus 15 might suit your needs as it is significantly less expensive. However, if you need higher performance for gaming or more demanding applications and are willing to spend more, the MSI Cyborg 15 offers better graphics and a more powerful processor. The MSI Cyborg 15 is also lighter than the HP, which makes it more portable, but both have similar screen size and resolution. Both laptops offer modern features but prioritize different aspects: cost-efficiency for the HP and performance for the MSI. Give Feedback

The MSI Cyborg 15 is good for gaming and AI, while the HP Victus 15 is only fair.
The MSI Cyborg 15 offers better gaming and 3D capabilities primarily due to its superior Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics card, compared to the Nvidia RTX 3050 in the HP Victus 15, with both having the same screen refresh rate. While screen quality is a factor, the CPU is more powerful in the MSI Cyborg 15, which complements its better GPU for a smoother and richer gaming experience.

The MSI Cyborg 15 is good for engineering and design, while the HP Victus 15 is only fair.
The HP Victus 15 is equipped with an Intel i5 processor and an Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU, providing considerable power for engineering and design tasks; its IPS screen also offers decent color coverage and brightness which benefit visual work. On the other hand, the MSI Cyborg 15 boasts a higher-end Intel i7 processor and an Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, delivering even better performance for demanding engineering software while also offering an IPS display, although it has slightly lower brightness and contrast ratio than the HP. Both laptops have similar portability and keyboard quality but the MSI has a longer battery life and quieter operating noise, which may enhance the overall work experience.

The HP Victus 15 has a better screen than the MSI Cyborg 15 for general use, while the MSI Cyborg 15 has a better screen for content creation, and software development.
For general use, the HP Victus 15 offers a high resolution and brightness, making it easier on the eyes for tasks like web browsing or document editing, while the MSI Cyborg 15 has a balanced display but may not be as bright or sharp. In engineering and design work, both laptops have fair color accuracy, but neither excels in covering professional color gamuts, which could affect those who need precise color fidelity for their tasks. When it comes to 3D and gaming, the slower refresh rates on both models mean less fluid visual experiences, which are particularly noticeable in fast-paced scenes or while working with dynamic 3D content.

How the HP Victus 15 and the MSI Cyborg 15 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
"The focus of the MSI Cyborg 15 lies on a compromise of performance, mobility, and power consumption. Due to the reduced performance settings, the CPU and GPU perform below their capabilities. Nonetheless, their computing power is still sufficient for FHD gaming at high to maximum settings even then. The power consumption, which is low for a gaming laptop, can be translated into a good battery life. Realistic values of 7 to 8 h are still possible, despite the relatively small battery capacity of 53.5 Wh. Unfortunately the USB-C port doesn't offer any support for Power Delivery, which would be a sensible feature in the case of the Cyborg."
