The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the HP Victus 15 provides adequate resolution and brightness for activities like web browsing or document editing, but in comparison, the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 offers superior visual clarity and brightness, enhancing the overall viewing experience. In the realm of engineering and design, the P16's ability to reproduce a wide range of colors accurately makes it stand out, ensuring that professionals see precise hues for critical tasks, whereas the Victus 15 may not represent colors as faithfully. How the HP Victus 15 and the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
"It's only a few months since we gave the MSI CreatorPro X17 one of our rare 4.5-star ratings and our top mobile workstation honor, but the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 1 matches that achievement in a more premium overall build. Ultimately, its build quality, screen, and keyboard give our latest Editors' Choice nod to the Lenovo—it's enough of a monster on almost all fronts that it simply cannot be ignored."
