If you prioritize a lower price and modest performance for everyday tasks, the HP Victus 15 may serve you well with its decent screen, respectable battery life, and lighter gaming capabilities. In contrast, if you are willing to invest in a much higher-priced laptop for superior performance, the Lenovo Legion 9i excels with a much more powerful processor, top-tier graphics, a high-resolution display, and additional features suited for demanding 3D work, machine learning, and high-end gaming. The Legion 9i also has a significantly larger battery, which might translate to better battery life, but it is heavier than the Victus 15, making it less portable. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion 9i has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The HP Victus 15's screen offers a balance suitable for everyday tasks thanks to its resolution and brightness, but its color gamut coverage might not be wide enough for professional engineering and design work where accurate color representation is critical. The Lenovo Legion 9i excels in color accuracy and a high-resolution display, making it ideal for detailed engineering designs and creative work that requires a wide range of precise colors. However, for gaming and 3D rendering, both laptops' screens fall short due to lower refresh rates, which are important for smooth motion and responsiveness in fast-paced visuals.

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
"The Lenovo Legion 9i is meant as a top-end flagship showcase for enthusiasts, and on that, it delivers. You'll find flashier designs in this price tier—Razer’s all-metal build in a similarly sized laptop like the Blade 16, or monstrous 18-inch machines—but this is a well-thought-out laptop. The chassis is trim for a 16-inch powerhouse, the lid is unique, and bespoke liquid cooling takes performance to the next level."
