The HP Victus 15 is generally more affordable and provides a dedicated graphics card, which is better for gaming or graphic-intensive tasks. It also has a larger screen, but it's heavier and has less battery life, making it less portable than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro. On the other hand, the Lenovo has a higher resolution display, which results in sharper images and it's lighter, making it easier to carry around. It also has a better battery life. If you prioritize display quality, portability, and battery life, the Lenovo might be your better choice despite being more costly. Otherwise, for better gaming performance at a lower price, the HP Victus 15 could be the way to go. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The HP Victus 15 has adequate resolution and brightness, making it suitable for everyday tasks, but its color range falls short for engineering and design work, where color accuracy is critical, and its lower refresh rate hampers the smooth visuals crucial for gaming and 3D applications. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro offers a high-resolution and bright display with superior color gamut coverage, providing the detailed and precise visuals needed for engineering and design, but like the HP, it falls short for gaming and 3D due to a lower refresh rate that fails to deliver the fluid motion desired in those fields. For gaming and 3D work, a laptop with a higher refresh rate would be preferred, but for engineering and general use, the IdeaPad's superior color accuracy and resolution make it a strong choice.

The HP Victus 15 and Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The HP Victus 15 is fair for gaming and 3D mainly due to its Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU and a screen refresh rate of 144Hz, which allows for smooth visuals in dynamic games but has a standard-quality screen. In contrast, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro also offers fair gaming and 3D performance with its integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and a max 90Hz screen refresh rate but benefits from higher screen quality and resolution at the expense of the more powerful, discrete graphics found in the HP.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro to be good for engineering and design, while the HP Victus 15 is only fair.
The HP Victus 15, with its dedicated Nvidia RTX GPU and ample screen space, is suited for tasks requiring graphics performance, like 3D modeling, but it's heavier and bulkier. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, with a higher-resolution screen and more RAM, offers better multitasking and sharper visuals for design work, and it's more portable with a higher-quality keyboard, but it lacks a dedicated GPU for demanding graphics tasks.

How the HP Victus 15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
