When deciding between the HP Stream 14" and the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3, consider the following tradeoffs: The HP Stream 14" is significantly less expensive, which might be suitable if you are on a tight budget. However, it comes with lower performance hardware, which means it might struggle with more demanding tasks such as 3D applications, machine learning, or heavy multitasking. On the other hand, the Surface Laptop Go 3, while more expensive, offers better performance which can handle more intensive engineering tasks and a higher resolution display which could be beneficial if you value screen quality. The Surface Laptop Go 3 also has a more portable design due to its smaller display and lighter weight. Overall, if cost is your primary concern and you're primarily doing basic tasks like web browsing or document editing, the HP Stream may suffice. But if you need more power for professional or creative work and a more portable and better-quality display, the Surface Laptop Go 3 is the better choice. Give Feedback

How the HP Stream 14" and the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3 compare to other laptops
"With half of the main system memory and a fraction of the storage that we recommend in any budget Windows laptop, the HP Stream 14 does not impress. Perhaps it doesn't need to, depending on your reference point. For the price, you're getting a functional laptop with Windows 10, which already places the HP Stream 14 above most Chromebooks on that merit alone. Still, in this price range, you can't do much worse, but you can do better. In fact, for just $100 more, you can grab the much superior budget option, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14."
"When it comes to affordably priced laptops, the numbers after the dollar sign are crucially important—more so than in any other price category. By increasing the starting price of its Laptop Go line by $200 and not changing much else, Microsoft irrevocably altered the calculus surrounding the decision of whether to buy the Surface Laptop Go 3. Sure, it has a newer processor and longer battery life, but don’t think for a second you’re not paying dearly for that extra RAM and SSD capacity at that new price."
