If budget is a key concern and you need a device for basic tasks like web browsing and office applications, the HP Stream 14" is significantly less expensive and adequate for these purposes. However, if you're willing to invest more for enhanced performance and a better display, which is beneficial for multitasking and consuming media, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is a better option as it has higher storage and a more powerful processor. The IdeaPad Slim 3's updated features and performance improvements are particularly useful for more demanding applications, though it does come at a higher cost. Give Feedback

PCMag

Zachary Cuevas | November 2021
"With half of the main system memory and a fraction of the storage that we recommend in any budget Windows laptop, the HP Stream 14 does not impress. Perhaps it doesn't need to, depending on your reference point. For the price, you're getting a functional laptop with Windows 10, which already places the HP Stream 14 above most Chromebooks on that merit alone. Still, in this price range, you can't do much worse, but you can do better. In fact, for just $100 more, you can grab the much superior budget option, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14."

Rtings

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | May 2023
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3i is decent for use as a workstation. Its Intel CPU and integrated graphics can only handle light productivity tasks, not demanding workloads like video editing or 3D graphics. You also can't do any color-critical work because the available displays have a narrow color gamut. It has a good port selection, but its USB-C lacks Thunderbolt 4 support. On the upside, it has a comfortable keyboard and doesn't get hot or loud under load."
