If budget is a concern, the Lenovo Legion 5 offers good value and is tailored for gaming, with robust performance suitable for demanding tasks. However, it's generally heavier and less portable than the HP Spectre x360, which provides a premium experience with a sleeker design, convertible form-factor, and likely better battery life, ideal for general use and mobility. The Spectre is also well-suited for tasks that benefit from a touchscreen, such as design or note-taking. Choose the Legion 5 for gaming and intensive tasks, or the Spectre x360 for versatility and portability at a higher cost. Give Feedback

The HP Spectre x360 14 has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion 5 15" for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the HP Spectre x360 14's higher resolution and bright display make for crisp, clear visuals, whereas the Lenovo Legion 5, while still delivering good clarity, might not match the Spectre's resolution and brightness. When it comes to engineering and design, the Spectre x360 again stands out, offering a wide color gamut that ensures accurate color reproduction which is crucial for those fields, while the Legion 5, despite having a good range, may fall slightly behind in color accuracy. For gaming and 3D applications, however, the Legion 5, designed with gaming in mind, is likely to provide a more fluid experience due to a faster refresh rate, despite the Spectre's high-quality panel and resolution not being optimized for high-speed gaming scenarios.

How the HP Spectre x360 14 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"The numbers don’t lie — the HP Spectre x360 14 (2024) is a star, and a hell of a one at that. From performance to battery life, this machine is a dream. But why didn’t I give it a perfect score? Well, I wish the display performed better and that there were more ports to go around. If you’re itching for someone a little cheaper that offers a brighter display and significantly more battery life, I can only recommend the MacBook Pro 14 as a suitable substitute. Otherwise, the HP Spectre x360 14 (2024) is the perfect choice for those who want a reliable premium laptop."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
