If you prefer a laptop that saves you some money and offers a solid gaming experience, the HP Omen 16 could be a good pick. However, if you're looking for top-tier performance, especially for demanding tasks like 3D rendering or machine learning, and don't mind spending more, the Lenovo Legion 5i Pro often provides higher performance. Keep in mind, laptops like the Legion 5i Pro can be heavier, so if portability is crucial to you, the HP might be more appealing despite any performance differences. When it comes to battery life, gaming laptops generally have shorter lifespans, so for longer use without charging, neither may be ideal. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i has a better screen than the HP Omen 16 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The HP Omen 16, with its adequate resolution and brightness, provides a clear and vivid display for browsing and casual use, while its color accuracy benefits professional tasks like engineering and design. However, its lower refresh rate can lead to less smooth visuals in fast-paced gaming and 3D applications. Conversely, the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i's superior color range offers more precise and vibrant visuals for creative professionals, also enhancing the general use experience, but like the Omen, its reduced refresh rate makes it less ideal for gaming where fluid motion is crucial.

How the HP Omen 16 and the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i compare to other laptops
"The Omen 16 has proven to be a fairly good mid-range gaming laptop with all-around improvements compared to the Omen 15. The high overall performance level across all use cases, the long battery life, and the good FHD display constitute the main advantages of this HP laptop. The main drawbacks are the faulty touchpad (one-off?) and the high latencies that can be observed even after just opening the browser. Furthermore, the useless, preinstalled 30-day trial versions of various software also fall under the category "unnecessary"."
"The midpriced Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 8 follows some of our favorite gaming machines, including last year's model and the higher-end Legion Pro 7i Gen 8 tested earlier this year. But pedigree doesn't count for much in the computer world, and gaming laptops require a certain level of power and graphics performance to justify their prices. The Pro 5i Gen 8 just doesn't do that, offering middling CPU and GPU performance rather than the sort of muscle that would make it a great value."
