When choosing between the HP Omen 16 and the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro, consider that the HP Omen 16 usually comes at a lower price with solid performance suitable for general use and gaming, but if you require higher resolution and better graphic details for tasks like 3D design or professional gaming, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro, while generally more costly, may be worth the extra investment for its superior display and graphics capability. Both laptops are somewhat heavy and not the most portable, so if weight is a critical factor, you might want to look into lighter options. If you prefer a longer battery life, note that gaming laptops typically have a shorter battery life when running demanding applications. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5 has a better screen than the HP Omen 16 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
When considering general use, such as browsing or watching videos, both HP Omen 16 and Lenovo Legion Pro 5 have high-resolution displays with strong brightness and clarity, but the Lenovo stands out with slightly superior visual fidelity. For engineering and design tasks, where accurate color representation matters, both laptops deliver broad color gamuts ensuring that designers see true-to-life colors, yet Lenovo edges ahead with a screen that better covers professional color spaces. For gaming and 3D applications, despite having acceptable resolutions and panel types, both models fall short due to lower refresh rates, which can hinder the gaming experience where fluid motion is key.

How the HP Omen 16 and the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 compare to other laptops
"The Omen 16 has proven to be a fairly good mid-range gaming laptop with all-around improvements compared to the Omen 15. The high overall performance level across all use cases, the long battery life, and the good FHD display constitute the main advantages of this HP laptop. The main drawbacks are the faulty touchpad (one-off?) and the high latencies that can be observed even after just opening the browser. Furthermore, the useless, preinstalled 30-day trial versions of various software also fall under the category "unnecessary"."
"It doesn't quite match its Legion Pro 7i sibling as an Editors' Choice winner, but Lenovo's AMD-powered Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 is a stylish, well-built gaming laptop with solid performance at both 1080p and its sharper native resolution. It's cheaper than some comparably equipped machines and better than some similarly priced ones. That's a recipe for success, even without its frequent availability of discounts or sales. A brighter screen and longer battery life would be nice, but even as is the Legion Pro 5 earns a solid recommendation."
