The HP Omen 15 is more expensive and is better suited for intensive gaming due to its powerful processor and graphics card, but the Lenovo Legion Slim 5, while cheaper and less powerful, offers a higher battery capacity and a better portability score, which could be beneficial if you plan to use the laptop on the go. Consider the Omen 15 if gaming and high performance are your priorities, whereas the Legion Slim 5 is a more cost-effective option for general use and provides better battery life and portability. Both laptops have similar build quality, but the Legion Slim 5 has a slightly higher screen aspect ratio, which might be preferable for certain types of work and entertainment. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Florian Glaser | January 2021
"We consider around 1,260 Euros (~$1530) for a Ryzen 7 4800H, a GeForce RTX 2060, a 512 GB SSD and 16 GB dual-channel RAM to be a good offer that appeals to price-conscious gamers. Very high details are rarely a problem in the native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. Buyers will also be spoiled with a top-notch battery life that even beats most other notebook classes. If HP now improves the speed of the WLAN module, the stability of the case and the repeatedly criticized picture quality, the competition will have to dress extra warmly."

PCMag

Mark Knapp | August 2023
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 acknowledges that a gaming laptop doesn’t have to be as thick as possible and can still ensure adequate cooling when the muscles need flexing. To this end, in the Slim 5 Gen 8, it finds a neat balance of refined, trimmed-down design that still lets its internals cruise (even above their max power ratings). Lenovo then added in some high-end build quality with an altogether excellent keyboard that’s useful for both work and play."
