The MSI GP66 Leopard has a better screen than the HP Envy x360 15" for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, the HP Envy x360's screen may offer a balanced resolution and brightness, but it could be less sharp or dimmer compared to the MSI GP66 Leopard which has a display that delivers clearer and more vibrant visuals, making it good for both general tasks and detailed engineering work. The Envy x360's color coverage might not be wide enough for professional engineering and design needs, where accurate color representation is crucial, unlike the GP66 Leopard's display which typically includes better color spaces like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB. When it comes to 3D and gaming, the refresh rate on the Envy x360 may be lower, resulting in less fluid motion and responsiveness; whereas the MSI, even with good resolution and panel type, falls short on refresh rate, making neither ideal for high-end 3D applications where smooth visuals are key.

How the HP Envy x360 15" and the MSI GP66 Leopard compare to other laptops
"Despite its good looks, stellar webcam and comfortable keyboard, the Envy x360 15 is hard to recommend because of its dim, 16:9 display. If the display isn't an issue for you, just be sure to wait for a good sale price. Otherwise, a more modern two-in-one with a 16:10 display such as the Dell Inspiron 16 2-in-1 or Lenovo Yoga 7i 16 provides a larger workspace without adding much to the size and weight of the system."
"The MSI GP66 Leopard is a good budget high-performance gamer. The MSI also does a lot right outside of the pure performance despite it's low price. For example, the adaptive cooling system really surprised us positively, even in Extreme Performance Mode. And the display is not a budget panel either, but at least outshines the competition in terms of brightness. Of course, you also have to accept a few compromises in this price category. These include the Leopard's poor battery runtimes and the less than optimal build quality, which is also noticeable in the more complicated maintenance."
