The HP EliteBook 845 G9 offers robust performance with its AMD Ryzen processor, which is well-suited for business tasks and some engineering applications. Despite being somewhat more expensive, its screen has higher resolution and slightly better color coverage, making it a better choice for tasks requiring color accuracy. This laptop also has a higher build quality score. However, it's heavier and has a lower portability score than the MSI Prestige 14. If weight and battery life are significant factors for you, and you're looking to save a bit of money, the MSI Prestige 14 is lighter, more portable, and offers higher general use and engineering performance scores, with slightly longer typical battery life. On the other hand, if you're looking for more display outputs and reliability in engineering work, particularly for performance in 3D rendering or machine learning, you might lean towards the EliteBook for its slightly superior engineering performance. Both laptops have the same storage and RAM, but the HP EliteBook has better fan noise and heat management scores, which could enhance comfort during long working sessions. Give Feedback

How the HP EliteBook 845 G9 and the MSI Prestige 14 compare to other laptops
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
"The MSI Prestige 14” is excellent for productivity and business use cases, but it is not ideal for creators or visual content editors. The Prestige was able to power through days of email, spreadsheets, and text documents without breaking a sweat and was a joy to use. The additional ports were a breath of fresh air, as most laptops seem to be moving towards just Thunderbolt ports. The security options made signing in effortless, with two quick, more secure, and faster options than even the most complex alphanumeric passcode."
