The HP EliteBook 845 G9, being a premium business laptop with better portability, excellent keyboard quality, and significantly brighter screen, is tailored for professionals needing a reliable, higher-end device for general use and multitasking. On the other hand, the MSI Cyborg 15, with its powerful Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics card and higher refresh rate display, is more suited for gaming and intensive 3D tasks. If gaming or 3D rendering is a priority and a robust build isn't as critical, the MSI may be a better fit, despite its slightly bulkier form and lower battery life compared to the HP. Give Feedback

The MSI Cyborg 15 is good for gaming and AI, while the HP EliteBook 845 G9 is only fair.
The MSI Cyborg 15 offers better gaming and 3D performance due to its Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics unit and a higher screen refresh rate of 144Hz, which provides smoother visuals in fast-paced games. In contrast, the HP EliteBook 845 G9 has a less powerful AMD Radeon 660M GPU and a lower refresh rate of 60Hz, making it less suited for intensive gaming and 3D applications.

The HP EliteBook 845 G9 has a better screen than the MSI Cyborg 15 for general use, engineering and design, and software development, while the MSI Cyborg 15 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The HP EliteBook 845 G9 offers a balance of resolution and brightness, making it suitable for general use and engineering tasks where clarity and color precision are key. However, its lower refresh rate makes it less optimal for gaming or 3D work, where fluid motion is crucial. The MSI Cyborg 15 provides acceptable visual quality for everyday tasks and technical work, but like the HP, it lacks the high refresh rate sought after by gaming and 3D professionals, resulting in less smooth visuals in fast-paced scenarios.

The MSI Cyborg 15 and HP EliteBook 845 G9 are both good for engineering and design.
The HP EliteBook 845 G9 is well-suited for engineering and design use due to its powerful AMD Ryzen CPU, ample RAM, and high-quality IPS screen with accurate colors; although it offers less graphical performance than the MSI Cyborg 15, which is equally apt for design and engineering with its more potent Nvidia RTX GPU, making it better for GPU-accelerated tasks or rendering but at the expense of increased weight and decreased portability. While both laptops have high-quality components, the EliteBook prioritizes portability and superior screen quality, particularly suited for design work, whereas the Cyborg leans towards heavier performance requirements found in certain engineering applications.

How the HP EliteBook 845 G9 and the MSI Cyborg 15 compare to other laptops
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
"The focus of the MSI Cyborg 15 lies on a compromise of performance, mobility, and power consumption. Due to the reduced performance settings, the CPU and GPU perform below their capabilities. Nonetheless, their computing power is still sufficient for FHD gaming at high to maximum settings even then. The power consumption, which is low for a gaming laptop, can be translated into a good battery life. Realistic values of 7 to 8 h are still possible, despite the relatively small battery capacity of 53.5 Wh. Unfortunately the USB-C port doesn't offer any support for Power Delivery, which would be a sensible feature in the case of the Cyborg."
