The LG Gram 16 has a better screen than the HP EliteBook 845 G9 for engineering and design, and content creation.
The HP EliteBook 845 G9 and LG Gram 16 have displays with the clarity and brightness that are more than satisfactory for everyday tasks and professional design work due to their high-resolution panels, which deliver sharp images and vibrant colors that cover a wide range of color gamuts, essential for accuracy in engineering and design. However, for gaming and 3D applications, their screens fall short as they lack the high refresh rates that contribute to smoother visuals and better responsiveness, aspects that are crucial for an immersive gaming experience and fluid 3D rendering. Additionally, while their resolution and panel type contribute positively to the visual experience, they are not as impactful as the refresh rate for these specific use cases.

The HP EliteBook 845 G9 and LG Gram 16 are both equipped with integrated graphics units - AMD Radeon 660M and Intel Iris Xe, respectively - and standard 60Hz screen refresh rates, which can handle some gaming and 3D tasks but aren't ideal for high-end gaming where discrete graphics and faster screens are key. How the HP EliteBook 845 G9 and the LG Gram 16 compare to other laptops
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
