The HP EliteBook 845 G9 offers a more portable design and longer battery life, making it suitable for users on the go. With its midrange price, it is more expensive but boasts a high webcam score, better build quality, and excels in general use with its business laptop design. On the other hand, the Lenovo Slim 7 16 provides superior screen resolution and performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming, thanks to its dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU. It is less expensive and has a touchscreen, larger screen size, and a higher refresh rate, but it is heavier and offers less battery life, making it less portable. Both have the same amount of RAM and storage, but if intensive tasks and better screen performance are a priority, the Lenovo Slim 7 16 may be the better choice, albeit at the expense of battery life and portability. How the HP EliteBook 845 G9 and the Lenovo Slim 7 16 compare to other laptops
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
"At $1,011, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 Pro is a real bargain among full-sized laptops, with a handsome 16-inch, 16:10 aspect ratio touch screen, a speedy CPU, a comfortable keyboard, ample memory, and a roomy solid-state drive. It's not a blazing gaming rig or mobile workstation, but it doesn't pretend to be. Its biggest negative is that it may be hard to find—during our review, it sold out and was marked "Temporarily Unavailable" on Lenovo's site."
