The HP EliteBook 845 G9 offers a balance of business-class features, portability, and price, making it suitable for general office work, while the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" is geared towards gaming and high-performance applications due to its powerful graphics capabilities, which typically come with a higher price and less portability due to increased weight and size. Battery life tends to be longer for business laptops like the HP, while performance-focused models like the Lenovo might require more frequent charging, especially when running intensive tasks. Choose the HP for regular productivity with more mobility and the Lenovo if your priority is gaming or demanding software applications and you are less concerned about size and battery life. How the HP EliteBook 845 G9 and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" compare to other laptops
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
