The HP EliteBook 845 G9 offers strong performance with an AMD Ryzen processor suitable for intensive engineering tasks, but the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, with its higher-resolution screen, is more suited to those who prioritize display quality for media or creative work. The HP has a good mix of durability and decent battery life, making it suitable for business users who may also appreciate its focus on security features. In contrast, the Lenovo provides a lighter and thinner design for better portability, alongside a higher refresh rate screen that can be preferable for smoother visuals. Both have ample storage and memory, ensuring they can handle general use cases well. If you frequently work on-the-go, the Lenovo's portability may edge it over the HP despite the HP's balanced performance and security offerings. Consider how you prioritize display quality, portability, performance, and battery life when making your decision. Give Feedback

How the HP EliteBook 845 G9 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro compare to other laptops
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
