The HP EliteBook 845 G9 commands a higher price than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i, but it's designed as a premium business laptop and is built to handle intensive engineering tasks better. Due to its AMD Ryzen processor and Radeon graphics, it offers a balance of good general performance and capability for 3D and machine learning tasks. The EliteBook is lighter and thus more portable, and it also features a higher quality keyboard and better webcam than the IdeaPad. On the other hand, the IdeaPad Slim 5i, with its Intel i5 processor and Iris Xe graphics, is a solid choice for general use and it's less expensive. However, it is heavier and has a lower overall performance compared to the EliteBook. Neither laptop is suited for intensive gaming despite their ability to manage lighter titles. The decision ultimately hinges on your need for a business-oriented, higher-performance laptop versus a more budget-friendly, general-use laptop. Give Feedback

The HP EliteBook 845 G9 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The HP EliteBook 845 G9 offers a screen that delivers sharper images and more accurate colors, making it suitable for professionals who rely on visual precision for tasks like graphic design and engineering. However, for gaming and 3D applications, its refresh rate isn't high enough to provide the smooth visuals passionate gamers look for. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i has a screen that is adequate for everyday tasks and casual design work but lacks the color range and high resolution that professional design work demands, and like the EliteBook, its refresh rate is too low for serious gaming.

How the HP EliteBook 845 G9 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i compare to other laptops
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
"The device is made for average work loads and if your work has a lot to do with online browsing, using apps that are not power-hungry and streaming videos. The looks are really good and the device in itself is not a heavy one. And with Intel 11th-gen Core processor, you might sail through most of your work without complaints."
