The HP EliteBook 845 G9 offers robust performance and is slightly more expensive, targeting professional users with features like a premium build and fingerprint reader; however, the Lenovo Flex 5 14 provides a touchscreen and a lower price point, making it versatile and budget-friendly. While both have similar display size and resolution, the HP EliteBook has a brighter screen and better color accuracy, beneficial for tasks requiring color precision. If battery life is a priority, the Lenovo has a marginally larger battery capacity but note the difference in battery life between the two is not significant. Choose the HP EliteBook for business-oriented tasks and better screen quality, or the Lenovo Flex for touch capability and savings. Give Feedback

The HP EliteBook 845 G9 has a better screen than the Lenovo Flex 5 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
The HP EliteBook 845 G9 has a high-quality display with vibrant colors and sharp resolution, making it suitable for everyday tasks and detailed engineering work, but its standard refresh rate limits its appeal for 3D applications and gaming. The Lenovo Flex 5 14 offers a decent display that is adequate for both general use and some engineering tasks, but like the HP, it doesn't excel in gaming or 3D environments due to its modest refresh rate. While both laptops handle typical use and engineering well in terms of display, professionals and enthusiasts in 3D graphics and gaming would benefit from looking at options with higher refresh rates and specialized display features.

The HP EliteBook 845 G9 and Lenovo Flex 5 14 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The HP EliteBook 845 G9 and the Lenovo Flex 5 14 are fair for gaming and 3D because they both have integrated GPUs—the EliteBook with an AMD Radeon 660M and the Flex with a Ryzen 7 7730U Vega 8—that provide adequate but not top-tier gaming performance. Additionally, both have comparable 60Hz screen refresh rates that are sufficient for casual gaming, but may not be optimal for fast-paced games where higher refresh rates could offer a smoother experience.

How the HP EliteBook 845 G9 and the Lenovo Flex 5 14 compare to other laptops
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
"The highlight of the latest IdeaPad Flex 5 14 is clearly its AMD CPU. The octa-core Ryzen 7 5700U is insanely fast even when compared to the best Tiger Lake Ultrabooks in the market or even Core H CPUs in many gaming laptops. It's a lot of raw processing power for what is supposed to be a budget 14-inch convertible. If your daily workloads can benefit from extra multi-thread CPU performance, then look no further than the inexpensive AMD-powered Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14. For regular on-the-road browsing or video streaming, however, a slimmer and lighter 10th gen Core Yoga, Spectre, or XPS would be a more balanced option."
