If you prioritize a laptop with better build quality, more robust security features, and are looking for a device that is suitable for professional environments, the HP EliteBook 845 G9 may justify its higher price. On the other hand, if you need a laptop for everyday tasks, casual use, and you're sensitive to price, the HP Pavilion 15 may be the more appropriate choice, offering sufficient performance for general use at a lower cost. Keep in mind, the EliteBook could be more durable and offer better support for business use cases, while the Pavilion is typically aimed at a more consumer-level market. If travel or long battery life is essential for you, the EliteBook may also have the edge due to its potentially longer battery life and lighter build, which could make it more convenient for portability. How the HP EliteBook 845 G9 and the HP Pavilion 15 compare to other laptops
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
"The HP Pavilion 15 carries a fair amount of power and a sharp display in its handsome slimline shell. It's not perfect, but it's a hard worker. This is wonderfully designed and totes a heck of a lot of desktop power, with the added benefit of a decent webcam and a full-sized keyboard. If you're getting down to business on a budget, it's a great fit."
