The HP Dragonfly Pro 14" has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion 5 15" for software development, and content creation, while the Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The HP Dragonfly Pro's screen offers a balance between resolution and brightness suitable for general tasks and detail-oriented work like engineering and design, but its standard refresh rate limits the experience in 3D applications where smoother visuals are crucial. The Lenovo Legion 5, with its very good screen for general use, adds a larger display and enhanced color gamut support, improving visibility and color accuracy for engineering and design tasks. However, despite its better performance in those areas, it also lacks a high refresh rate, making it less ideal for 3D work where fast-moving visuals are key.

How the HP Dragonfly Pro 14" and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"I’d say that the HP Dragonfly Pro checks off most of the boxes for this freelancer. It feels nice to use, is zippy and responsive, has great speakers, and even has a relatively sane price. Although it’s an unorthodox choice to pick AMD for this kind of machine, it’s clear that when Ryzen is given a chance to shine, it can kick a lot of butt."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
