The Lenovo ThinkBook 13s offers higher portability with a lighter build and longer battery life, making it suitable for on-the-go business use and general tasks, plus it features a higher resolution touch screen. However, the Gigabyte G5, while not as portable, provides higher performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and intensive gaming courtesy of a superior dedicated GPU. The G5 is likely slightly more expensive, but it's geared more towards those who need extra graphics processing power. The ThinkBook has a more professional appearance and would be a better fit if you prioritize battery life and a higher quality screen over intensive graphics-related tasks. Give Feedback

The Lenovo ThinkBook 13s and Gigabyte G5 are both good for general use, though the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s is somewhat better.
The Gigabyte G5 has a fair assessment for general use mainly due to its lower battery life, heavier weight, and unfavorably lower screen brightness and color accuracy compared to the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s; on the other hand, the ThinkBook 13s is seen as good for general use as it offers higher RAM, a more portable design, better battery life, and superior screen quality, making it more suitable for varied everyday tasks.

The Gigabyte G5 has a better screen than the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s has a better screen for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Gigabyte G5, while suitable for general computing tasks, doesn't excel in screen performance due to its average brightness and resolution that might not stand out in brightly lit environments or for users needing crisp visuals. For engineering and design professionals, the G5's display may fall short in providing the wide color gamuts necessary for precise color work. Gamers and 3D users will find the screen's lower refresh rate limits smooth motion rendering, making it less ideal for fast-paced, visually intensive applications compared to displays designed specifically for gaming.

How the Gigabyte G5 and the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte G5 KE is a midrange gaming laptop that checks most boxes. Gigabyte makes good use of the Core i5-12500H and RTX 3060 Laptop GPU combo, and we find no untoward issues with overall performance. The dual-fan quad-heatpipe cooling arrangement does well to ensure that the underlying hardware doesn't throttle under load. That being said, the display is below par when compared to 2023 standards, especially when competing devices."
"The best thing about the ThinkBook 13S is that it’s a good deal. Business buyers looking for ThinkPad-level performance and software without ThinkPad pricing will probably find the ThinkBook a solid option. While nothing about it is really spectacular, it’s certainly unusual to see the ThinkBook’s screen resolution at a sub-$1,000 price, and its performance will be more than adequate for most office tasks. The generous port selection, 16:10 aspect ratio, physical webcam shutter, and clear audio are certainly icing on the cake."
