The Gigabyte G5 is a good choice if you want to save a little money. It still offers a solid processor with the Intel i5, a respectable RTX 4060 graphics card, and a standard 1080p display which is quite sufficient for most gaming and general use. It's also slightly lighter than the Lenovo Legion 5 15", making it more portable.
However, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" comes with a more powerful AMD Ryzen 7 processor, which is better suited for intensive tasks like video editing or software development. It also has a higher resolution 1440p display, providing sharper images, which could be beneficial for graphic design or if you prefer a more immersive gaming experience. Moreover, it includes double the RAM of the Gigabyte, which means better multitasking performance, but it is slightly heavier, which might be a consideration if you plan to carry it around frequently.
Ultimately, if you prioritize performance and higher screen quality and can afford to spend a bit more, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" could be the better option. If you're looking to save some money and prefer something lighter, the Gigabyte G5 would still provide a competent gaming and general usage experience. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen than the Gigabyte G5 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Gigabyte G5’s screen may not offer the color accuracy and wide color gamuts required for engineering and design tasks, and its lower refresh rate hampers the gaming and 3D experience. The Lenovo Legion 5 15", with higher color accuracy and brightness, provides a more vibrant display for general and professional use, but like the G5, it falls short for gaming due to a suboptimal refresh rate. Both laptops may be fine for everyday tasks, but neither is ideal for users who prioritize high-end gaming or 3D performance.

How the Gigabyte G5 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte G5 KE is a midrange gaming laptop that checks most boxes. Gigabyte makes good use of the Core i5-12500H and RTX 3060 Laptop GPU combo, and we find no untoward issues with overall performance. The dual-fan quad-heatpipe cooling arrangement does well to ensure that the underlying hardware doesn't throttle under load. That being said, the display is below par when compared to 2023 standards, especially when competing devices."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
