The Gigabyte Aorus 7 offers better performance with higher-end components compared to the HP Victus 15, making it suitable for intensive tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, or engineering software. However, it's less portable due to its larger size and heavier weight. If you prioritize gaming or high-performance tasks and don't mind the additional cost and reduced portability, the Aorus 7 is the better choice. On the other hand, if you're looking for a more affordable and portable option for general use or less demanding tasks, and you're okay with sacrificing some performance, the HP Victus 15 would be the more sensible option. The Gigabyte Aorus 7 has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aorus 7 offers vibrant and sharp visuals suitable for general tasks due to its high resolution and bright panel, while its adherence to professional color standards supports detailed engineering and design work. However, its lower refresh rate lessens the appeal for gaming or 3D applications where smooth motion is crucial. In contrast, the HP Victus 15, while providing satisfactory clarity and brightness for everyday use, falls short in color accuracy for specialized engineering and design, and similarly lacks the higher refresh rate desired for immersive gaming and seamless 3D modeling.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 7 and the HP Victus 15 compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is a gaming laptop that is pitched at perhaps the hardest market to get right: the mid-range. So, unlike high-end gaming laptops that can throw the latest and greatest components together in a bid to attract gamers with plenty of money to spend, or budget gaming laptops that can make wise cuts that are justified as long as the price is low enough, mid-rangers like the Gigabyte Aorus 7 have to balance the two."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
