For a balance of performance and portability with a focus on gaming, the Gigabyte Aorus 5 is a strong contender. It offers a robust Intel i7 processor and an Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU, ensuring smooth gameplay and efficient multitasking within a lightweight and compact frame. The 141.21 PPI and 280 nits of brightness provide a decent visual experience for gaming and everyday use, though it may not excel in color-critical tasks with its 70% DCI-P3 coverage. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (2024) is a powerhouse designed for the most demanding tasks, including gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning. With an advanced Intel i9-14900HX processor and Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU, it delivers exceptional performance that surpasses the Aorus 5, especially in intensive applications. Its higher resolution display with 188.68 PPI and 469 nits brightness, along with superior color accuracy, makes it ideal for professionals who require precision and gamers seeking the best visual experience. However, this performance comes with a tradeoff in weight and size, making it less portable than the Aorus 5. If you prioritize top-tier performance and don't mind a bulkier device, the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (2024) is the way to go. However, if you value a lighter, more portable laptop without sacrificing too much gaming performance, the Gigabyte Aorus 5 is the better choice. Give Feedback

Can Buy or Not

Vincent Chang | June 2022
"The Gigabyte Aorus 5 SE4 is a capable mainstream gaming notebook that will run the latest PC games with aplomb. However, it's not your stereotypical flashy gaming PC. Gigabyte has added some interesting tweaks. For example, the webcam placement and its Microsoft Azure AI tool — to automatically switch between power modes — are unusual for this genre. But more importantly, the pricing is fairly competitive and reasonable."

"Passionate gamers who want to play demanding modern titles with maximum details and don't mind spending the moolah will find the Lenovo Legion 7 Pro to be the right choice. The bright, sharp, and color-accurate 16:10 QHD 240 Hz display makes for an immersive viewing experience. The hardware is housed in a stylish chassis that feels premium and scores well in terms of workmanship and stability. Other aspects such as sound quality, input devices, and connectivity also seem to be near-perfect."
