The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is a higher-priced option with top-notch performance for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning, thanks to its powerful graphics card and processor. It has a larger screen size but is heavier and has a shorter battery life, which affects its portability. The Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14, conversely, is less expensive, easier to carry due to its lighter weight, and it offers a longer battery life, making it a better fit for on-the-go usage or day-to-day tasks. Although it can handle general engineering applications, it may not perform as well in highly demanding tasks as the Aorus does. Both laptops have the same storage and memory capacity. The Slim Pro has a higher resolution touch screen with a taller aspect ratio, which can be beneficial for productivity and content consumption. The choice depends on whether you prioritize performance for heavy tasks or portability and battery life for everyday use and moderate workloads. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 is good.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H, with its more powerful Intel i7 processor and high-end Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU, offers superior performance for demanding engineering and design tasks than the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14, which has a less powerful AMD Ryzen 7 processor and Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU. However, the Lenovo is more portable due to its lighter weight and smaller screen, and its higher-resolution display might be preferred for detail-oriented design work, despite the Aorus 17H's larger screen and better contrast being beneficial for extensive work sessions and multitasking.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 for general use, and gaming and AI, while the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 has a better screen for content creation.
For general use, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H offers a sharp and bright display with vivid colors, making it very suitable for daily tasks such as browsing and video streaming, while the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 provides similar benefits in a more compact form. The screen quality of both laptops supports the nuanced hues required for engineering and design work, thanks to their wide color gamuts, ensuring that professionals can see accurate color representation. However, for gaming and 3D applications, both the Aorus 17H and Slim Pro 7 14 may not be ideal because their screens don't refresh as quickly as gaming-specific laptops, meaning fast-paced visuals might not look as smooth.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 to be very good for general use, while the Gigabyte Aorus 17H is good.
The Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 outshines the Gigabyte Aorus 17H for general use because it combines better portability with a higher resolution touchscreen display while delivering comparable CPU and RAM performance, all within a lighter and smaller form factor that offers longer battery life. Although the Aorus 17H has a bigger screen and an advanced graphics unit which may appeal to some users, its heavier weight, larger size, and shorter battery span make the Slim Pro 7 the more versatile choice for day-to-day tasks.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 17H and the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 compare to other laptops
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
"The Lenovo Slim Pro 7 is an attractive, portable laptop that’s ideal if you need a combination of CPU and GPU performance. It also nails the fundamentals with solid connectivity, an enjoyable keyboard, a large touchpad, and top-notch webcam. Display quality is a weakness, but it’s an acceptable compromise for the laptop’s extremely competitive $1,199 MSRP. The Slim Pro 7 is a versatile, affordable laptop and hard to beat for the price."
