The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is a powerhouse designed for high-performance tasks such as gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning, with its superior Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU and Intel i7-13700H processor. It offers a larger 17.3-inch display with a higher refresh rate of 360Hz, making it ideal for fast-paced gaming and engineering tasks that require a smooth visual experience. However, its larger size and weight make it less portable, and it comes with a higher price tag.
On the other hand, the Lenovo LOQ 16i is more budget-friendly and portable, with a smaller 16-inch screen and a lighter design. It's equipped with a capable Nvidia RTX 4050 and Intel i7-13620H, suitable for general use and moderate gaming or creative work. The battery life is comparable, but the LOQ 16i has a lower refresh rate of 144Hz, which is still good for most users' needs. It lacks some premium features like a fingerprint reader and hardware ray tracing, which might be important for certain applications or security preferences.
In summary, if you prioritize top-tier performance and are willing to compromise on portability and cost, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H is the way to go. However, if you're looking for a more balanced and affordable option that's easier to carry around and still handles everyday tasks and moderate gaming well, the Lenovo LOQ 16i would be a better fit. How the Gigabyte Aorus 17H and the Lenovo LOQ 16i compare to other laptops
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
"Gaming laptops with an RTX 4060 are available starting from about 1,000 Euros (~$1,060), even in 16-inch format. For the supposedly affordable Lenovo LOQ 16 (1,500 Euros, ~$1,591), the manufacturer particularly saves in the equipment and materials compared to the more expensive Legion series. In addition, the LOQ is slightly heavier and more bulky. What remains is anything but a laptop full of difficult compromises. Instead, this is a more than solid gaming laptop that focusses on the 3D performance.Q is slightly heavier and more bulky."
