The Gigabyte Aorus 17H offers superior gaming and intensive engineering performance due to its high-end processor and graphics card, and it has a larger display, making it suitable for immersive experiences and detailed work. However, it is heavy and less portable, which could be inconvenient if you need to carry it around frequently. The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 is lighter and more portable with a modern processor and a competent graphics card for general use and moderate gaming, plus it offers a slightly higher screen resolution, which leads to sharper images. It's also more budget-friendly. If you prioritize performance and large screen size over mobility and cost, the Gigabyte may suit you. On the other hand, if you seek a balance between performance, portability, and affordability, the Lenovo could be the ideal choice. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 is good.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is considered very good for gaming and 3D because it features a more powerful Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU and a higher screen refresh rate of 360, enhancing visual fluidity and rendering capabilities for gaming and 3D applications. In contrast, the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 is considered good due to its capable Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU and a lower refresh rate of 144, which still offers commendable gaming performance but may not be as smooth in fast-paced scenarios.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H likely offers a display with panel type, resolution, and brightness well-suited for vibrant and clear imagery necessary for general tasks, with color accuracy suitable for engineering and design work. However, its lower refresh rate would result in less fluid imagery, which is particularly noticeable and detrimental in fast-paced gaming and 3D rendering. The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 provides similar benefits and drawbacks; it's equipped for the sharpness and color needs of both everyday and professional design users, yet falls short on the smoothness required for high-end gaming and 3D applications.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H and Lenovo Legion Slim 5 are both good for general use.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is equipped with a robust CPU and ample RAM which suits general use, and its larger screen with higher brightness makes for a high-quality display but at the expense of portability and shorter battery life. Conversely, the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 offers a similarly capable CPU for general tasks, sufficient RAM, and a quality screen with a taller aspect ratio, all in a lighter frame that enhances portability and extends battery life, albeit with less storage capacity out of the box.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 17H and the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 compare to other laptops
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 acknowledges that a gaming laptop doesn’t have to be as thick as possible and can still ensure adequate cooling when the muscles need flexing. To this end, in the Slim 5 Gen 8, it finds a neat balance of refined, trimmed-down design that still lets its internals cruise (even above their max power ratings). Lenovo then added in some high-end build quality with an altogether excellent keyboard that’s useful for both work and play."
