The Gigabyte Aorus 17H offers superior performance and a larger display than the Lenovo Legion 5 15", which may make it a better choice for intensive tasks like gaming or engineering software. However, it is less portable due to its larger size and weight. The Legion 5 15", on the other hand, is easier to carry around, costs less, and still delivers good performance, suitable for general use and some gaming. Consider the Aorus 17H if performance and screen size are priorities and you don't mind the higher price and reduced portability, or the Legion 5 if you want a more affordable, portable laptop with decent performance. The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo Legion 5 15" is good.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for gaming and 3D due to its superior Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU and higher screen refresh rate for smoother visuals, while the Lenovo Legion 5 15" with its Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU and lower refresh rate is still good for these tasks but may not deliver quite as fluid an experience. Both have quality IPS display panels, but the Gigabyte Aorus offers better gaming performance with its hardware, despite the Lenovo Legion 5 having a higher resolution screen which can enhance general screen quality but won't affect gaming as much as the GPU and refresh rate do.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion 5 15" for gaming and AI, software development, and content creation.
When choosing a laptop for general use, both the Gigabyte Aorus 17H and Lenovo Legion 5 15" offer clear, sharp displays with strong brightness, making them suitable choices for tasks like web browsing, office work, and video streaming. For engineering and design work, where accurate color reproduction is crucial, these laptops provide decent coverage of professional color gamuts, but may not satisfy the most demanding color-critical tasks. However, if your primary focus is gaming or 3D work, you may find the slower refresh rates of these screens less appealing, as they could lead to less fluid visuals compared to screens with faster refresh rates.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 17H and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
