The Gigabyte Aorus 17H offers much higher performance suitable for intensive tasks like 3D modeling, machine learning, and gaming, thanks to its powerful processor and high-end graphics card. It also has a larger screen which is great for multitasking and entertainment, but this makes it less portable and heavier than the HP Stream. On the other hand, the HP Stream 14" is more budget-friendly and has a longer battery life, making it suitable for general use like web browsing, document editing, and streaming. However, it falls short in terms of performance for demanding applications due to its modest processor and graphics. If mobility and cost are your primary concerns, the HP Stream might be the better choice; however, if you need stronger performance for demanding tasks, the Gigabyte Aorus is worth the additional investment. The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for engineering and design, while the HP Stream 14" is poor.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H boasts a high-performance CPU and GPU, abundant memory and storage, alongside a large, high-quality IPS display, making it well-suited for intensive engineering and design applications, but it is less portable due to its size and weight. In contrast, the HP Stream 14" has a more basic CPU and GPU, smaller memory and storage capacity, as well as a limited-quality TN display, which compromises its ability to efficiently handle demanding engineering tasks despite being more lightweight and portable.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the HP Stream 14" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H features a high-resolution display with excellent brightness, making it ideal for everyday tasks and detailed work in engineering, but it lacks a high refresh rate which is crucial for a smooth gaming experience, particularly in fast-paced 3D games. The HP Stream 14", on the other hand, has a lower resolution and brightness, which diminishes the viewing experience for general use and doesn't provide the color accuracy required for professional engineering and design work. Additionally, with a standard refresh rate, it falls short for gaming, where fluid motion and fast response times are key.

"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
"With half of the main system memory and a fraction of the storage that we recommend in any budget Windows laptop, the HP Stream 14 does not impress. Perhaps it doesn't need to, depending on your reference point. For the price, you're getting a functional laptop with Windows 10, which already places the HP Stream 14 above most Chromebooks on that merit alone. Still, in this price range, you can't do much worse, but you can do better. In fact, for just $100 more, you can grab the much superior budget option, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14."
