When choosing between the Gigabyte Aorus 17G and the MSI Titan 18 HX, consider that the Aorus is more budget-friendly and may offer sufficient performance for everyday tasks and gaming, but if you need top-tier power for 3D modeling, machine learning, or high-end gaming, the Titan typically provides superior performance at a higher price. The Titan's larger size may reduce portability and potentially have shorter battery life, while the Aorus is easier to carry around. Your ideal choice depends on whether higher performance or cost savings and portability are more crucial for your needs. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | June 2021
"The Aorus 17G isn't among the top RTX 3080 laptops due to its relatively low TGP of 105 watts. The device's gaming performance is average for an RTX 3080. For maximum performance, competitors like the Lenovo Legion 7 or the Alienware m17 R4 are recommended With the Aorus 17G, Gigabyte delivers a well-rounded gaming laptop. However, the device generates a high noise level. Throttling is not an issue. The CPU and GPU can develop their performance uniformly. Nevertheless, the device produces a lot of noise under load - more than many competitors."

NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | January 2024
"With no new Nvidia GPU this year for laptops, MSI had to refresh everything surrounding the graphics card to make up for it. Users are getting a new 18-inch chassis design, new 14th gen Intel HX CPU, new AC adapter, larger keys, and a new 120 Hz HDR1000 mini-LED 4K display to accompany the high price tag. Most of these changes are a step up from last year's GT77, but users are ultimately getting the same gaming performance out of both models."
