The Gigabyte Aorus 17G is a premium-priced laptop that excels in 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks due to its powerful main processor and dedicated graphics card. It's less portable, with a larger screen, greater weight, and a bigger power brick, but it does offer a higher refresh rate for fast motion which is beneficial for intensive gaming. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is much less expensive and offers better portability with lighter weight and longer battery life, making it suitable for general use. Its performance in more demanding tasks like 3D rendering and engineering work is lower compared with the Aorus 17G. If your priority is budget-conscious and lightweight productivity for general use, the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is a good choice. If you need high performance for gaming or engineering software at the cost of portability and with a higher price tag, then the Aorus 17G is the better option. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17G is good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17G excels in gaming and 3D tasks because it features a Nvidia RTX 3070 graphics card and has a 300 Hz screen refresh rate, which are crucial for smooth visuals and high frame rates in such applications. In contrast, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro includes an Iris Xe integrated graphics in its Intel i5 CPU and offers a 90 Hz refresh rate, which is less optimal for demanding gaming and 3D tasks despite its high screen resolution.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17G and Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro are both good for engineering and design, though the Gigabyte Aorus 17G is somewhat better.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17G excels in engineering and design use due to its powerful Intel i7 processor, expansive 16GB of RAM, and high-performance Nvidia RTX 3070 graphics unit which support demanding applications; its large, high-refresh-rate screen offers good visual details but at the cost of portability and battery life.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17G has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro has a better screen for general use, and engineering and design.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17G with its high resolution and brightness offers a clear and vibrant display for general tasks and detail-oriented work like engineering, but its lower refresh rate makes it less ideal for fast-paced gaming or 3D work where smooth motion is critical. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro's superior color accuracy covers a wide range of the color spectrum, which is essential for precision in engineering and design, and its exceptional resolution and brightness enhance the experience for everyday use; however, its gaming and 3D capabilities are limited due to a refresh rate that isn't tailored for such demands. Neither laptop is optimized for 3D applications or gaming, where higher refresh rates are crucial for fluid visuals, but both excel in display qualities that matter for general use and professional design tasks.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 17G and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro compare to other laptops
"The Aorus 17G isn't among the top RTX 3080 laptops due to its relatively low TGP of 105 watts. The device's gaming performance is average for an RTX 3080. For maximum performance, competitors like the Lenovo Legion 7 or the Alienware m17 R4 are recommended With the Aorus 17G, Gigabyte delivers a well-rounded gaming laptop. However, the device generates a high noise level. Throttling is not an issue. The CPU and GPU can develop their performance uniformly. Nevertheless, the device produces a lot of noise under load - more than many competitors."
"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
