The Gigabyte Aorus 17G is a premium laptop that's significantly more expensive than the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17", offering better performance for intensive tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming, thanks to its higher-end processor and dedicated graphics card. However, it is heavier, has a shorter battery life, and is less portable. The Lenovo, while much less expensive and more portable with a longer battery life, is not as well suited for demanding tasks due to its lower-powered processor and integrated graphics, but it's a solid choice for general use. If portability and battery life are priorities over advanced tasks and gaming, the Lenovo might be preferable, while the Gigabyte should be considered if performance is the top priority and budget allows. How the Gigabyte Aorus 17G and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" compare to other laptops
"The Aorus 17G isn't among the top RTX 3080 laptops due to its relatively low TGP of 105 watts. The device's gaming performance is average for an RTX 3080. For maximum performance, competitors like the Lenovo Legion 7 or the Alienware m17 R4 are recommended With the Aorus 17G, Gigabyte delivers a well-rounded gaming laptop. However, the device generates a high noise level. Throttling is not an issue. The CPU and GPU can develop their performance uniformly. Nevertheless, the device produces a lot of noise under load - more than many competitors."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
