The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is more expensive but offers better performance for intensive engineering tasks, 3D rendering, and gaming due to its superior processor and graphics card. It has a high refresh rate display which is beneficial for gaming but has a shorter battery life. The HP Omen 15 is somewhat less expensive, also has a high-performance processor and graphics card, but not as powerful as the Aorus. It offers a longer battery life, which makes it more portable, but is slightly lower in terms of build quality and heat management. If portability and longer battery life are priorities, consider the Omen 15; if you need more power and a better screen for demanding tasks, the Aorus 15X is the way to go. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is very good for gaming and AI, while the HP Omen 15 is good.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is optimal for gaming and 3D because it features a high-end Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU and a screen with a high refresh rate of 240Hz, which provide smoother visuals and better render performance. In contrast, the HP Omen 15 includes a capable Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU and a 144Hz screen refresh rate which is also good for gaming, but offers less graphical power and lower screen fluidity compared to the Aorus 15X.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X has a better screen than the HP Omen 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15X's display offers a balance between resolution and brightness, making it ideal for everyday tasks and multimedia consumption, while its color accuracy appeals to engineers and designers who rely on true-to-life colors. However, its lower refresh rate can detract from the gaming and 3D modeling experience, where fluid motion is crucial. The HP Omen 15 similarly provides a crisp and bright display suitable for general use and professional work that involves precise color representation but falls short for gaming and 3D content creation due to its less optimal refresh rate.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and the HP Omen 15 compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
"We consider around 1,260 Euros (~$1530) for a Ryzen 7 4800H, a GeForce RTX 2060, a 512 GB SSD and 16 GB dual-channel RAM to be a good offer that appeals to price-conscious gamers. Very high details are rarely a problem in the native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. Buyers will also be spoiled with a top-notch battery life that even beats most other notebook classes. If HP now improves the speed of the WLAN module, the stability of the case and the repeatedly criticized picture quality, the competition will have to dress extra warmly."
