The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is more expensive and is suited for gaming and engineering tasks with its high-end processor and graphics card, but the HP Envy 17 is less expensive with a larger screen and a processor integrated graphics that are suitable for general use. The Aorus 15X offers better performance for 3D rendering and machine learning due to its superior hardware, but it is heavier and less portable. Give Feedback

Tom's Hardware

Brandon Hill | February 2023
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."

NotebookCheck

Marcus Schwarten | April 2023
"In our test, the HP Envy 17-cr0079ng presents itself as a balanced multimedia laptop. Thanks to its solid CPU performance and dedicated entry-level GeForce, it can also be used for playing video games, as long as the demands aren't too high. Those looking for more can find it in the Dell XPS 17 for example."
