If you prioritize having a brighter and more color-accurate display that's great for creative work, the Gigabyte Aero 5 with its OLED screen excels, and its lower price can be more appealing. Contrarily, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro offers a higher refresh rate screen, which is advantageous for gaming, along with newer components like its AMD processor and Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU, suggesting slightly better overall performance for gaming and 3D tasks. The Lenovo has a reputation for having better heat management, but its battery life is shorter than the Gigabyte's, making the latter a better option if you need longevity on the go. Both have similar portability challenges due to their weight and size.

How the Gigabyte Aero 5 and the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 compare to other laptops
"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."
"It doesn't quite match its Legion Pro 7i sibling as an Editors' Choice winner, but Lenovo's AMD-powered Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 is a stylish, well-built gaming laptop with solid performance at both 1080p and its sharper native resolution. It's cheaper than some comparably equipped machines and better than some similarly priced ones. That's a recipe for success, even without its frequent availability of discounts or sales. A brighter screen and longer battery life would be nice, but even as is the Legion Pro 5 earns a solid recommendation."
