The Gigabyte Aero 17 offers superior screen resolution and quality, better performance for 3D rendering, engineering, and machine learning tasks, and it has a significantly larger and higher quality display. However, it is less portable, more expensive, and has a shorter battery life compared to the Lenovo LOQ 15. The Lenovo LOQ 15, on the other hand, is more affordable, lighter, and has a longer battery life, making it suitable for general use and daily portability but with less performance for intensive tasks. If your priority is high-end performance for specialized tasks, and you are okay with a heftier price and less portability, the Gigabyte Aero 17 is preferable. If you value affordability, better portability, and battery life for everyday use, the Lenovo LOQ 15 would be the better choice. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aero 17 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo LOQ 15 is good.
The Gigabyte Aero 17 stands out for engineering and design use due to its powerful Intel i7 processor and Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU, alongside a high-resolution Mini LED screen that boasts excellent color coverage, making it ideal for precision tasks that require detailed visuals. In contrast, the Lenovo LOQ 15, with its AMD Ryzen 7 processor and Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU, also performs well in engineering applications, but its IPS screen has a lower resolution and color range, which might be less favorable for design tasks that need high color accuracy.

The Gigabyte Aero 17 has a better screen than the Lenovo LOQ 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aero 17, with its high-resolution, bright display and wide color gamuts, offers precise color representation crucial for engineering and design tasks, but its refresh rate isn't high enough for the smooth visuals gamers and 3D professionals need. Lenovo's LOQ 15 also offers a high-quality display with good resolution and color accuracy which is adequate for both general use and professional design work, but like the Aero 17, it falls short for gaming due to a lower refresh rate. In contrast, for typical daily activities like web browsing and streaming, both laptops' screen resolutions and brightness provide a pleasing visual experience.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers Gigabyte Aero 17 to be very good for general use, while the Lenovo LOQ 15 is good.
The Gigabyte Aero 17 offers robust performance for general use with its Intel i7 processor and ample RAM, complemented by a high-resolution Mini LED screen that excels in color reproduction and brightness, making it ideal for high-fidelity visual tasks; however, its larger size and heavier weight trade off portability for screen real estate and a slightly shorter battery life. Conversely, the Lenovo LOQ 15, with a capable AMD Ryzen 7 processor and the same amount of RAM, prioritizes a balance between performance and portability with a smaller, more lightweight build and longer battery life, but settles for a more conventional screen quality better suited for day-to-day tasks rather than specialized visual work.

How the Gigabyte Aero 17 and the Lenovo LOQ 15 compare to other laptops
"Not only is the Aero 17 a very good laptop for gamers but also for content creators. With the upgrade to the Intel Core i9-11980HK, Gigabyte particularly improved the system performance. In addition, the hardware package is rounded by the extremely fast SSD and 32 GB of working memory in dual-channel mode. Compared to the predecessor, the battery life is reduced only moderately, and the 4K display also basically keeps its good qualities."
"Even after a short time with the LOQ 15, you'll find it has a lot going for it, but ultimately it's just "good"—not quite a star. The performance is respectable for the hardware it’s running, but Lenovo had to make some design sacrifices to trim the price. One of the better aspects is the keyboard, making it one of the better low-cost gaming laptops to actually put your hands on."
