The Gigabyte Aero 17 offers higher performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks because of its superior display and graphics card, making it suited for intensive gaming and creative professionals. However, it is more expensive, larger, and heavier, reducing its portability and it has a shorter battery life. The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is more budget-friendly, lighter, and thinner, offering better portability and a longer battery life, while still delivering good general use and gaming performance. This makes it a better option for users who prioritize portability and battery life over top-tier performance and a premium display. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aero 17 and Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" are both good for gaming and AI, though the Gigabyte Aero 17 is somewhat better.
The Gigabyte Aero 17, with its superior Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card, excels in gaming and 3D applications, although its screen refresh rate is lower at 120Hz, which is still acceptable for smooth gameplay. Conversely, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 features a capable Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU for gaming and 3D tasks and offers a higher screen refresh rate of 165Hz for more fluid visual motion, however, the graphics performance is not as robust as the Aero 17.

The Gigabyte Aero 17 has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the Gigabyte Aero 17 offers a high-resolution and bright display that enhances readability and visibility, which outperforms the Lenovo Legion Slim in these respects. In engineering and design, the superior color accuracy and wider color gamuts of the Aero 17 make it a better tool for professionals needing precise color representation. However, for gaming and 3D applications where high refresh rates are crucial for smooth motion, both the Aero 17 and Legion Slim fall short, as they prioritize resolution and color over fast refresh rates.

How the Gigabyte Aero 17 and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" compare to other laptops
"Not only is the Aero 17 a very good laptop for gamers but also for content creators. With the upgrade to the Intel Core i9-11980HK, Gigabyte particularly improved the system performance. In addition, the hardware package is rounded by the extremely fast SSD and 32 GB of working memory in dual-channel mode. Compared to the predecessor, the battery life is reduced only moderately, and the 4K display also basically keeps its good qualities."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
