The Gigabyte Aero 17 offers a higher resolution Mini LED display and a more powerful graphics card, making it a good fit for tasks like 3D rendering or video editing. It is slightly heavier and has similar battery life to the Aorus 17G. On the other hand, the Gigabyte Aorus 17G, despite being a bit more expensive, features a high-refresh-rate IPS screen, beneficial for gaming, and a slightly better keyboard. However, it has less storage and an earlier generation processor compared to the Aero 17. If you need more storage and better performance for creative tasks, consider the Aero 17, but for a better gaming experience with a higher screen refresh rate, the Aorus 17G could be preferable. Both laptops offer good build quality and are in the same weight category, making them relatively portable for their size. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Mike Wobker | May 2021
"Not only is the Aero 17 a very good laptop for gamers but also for content creators. With the upgrade to the Intel Core i9-11980HK, Gigabyte particularly improved the system performance. In addition, the hardware package is rounded by the extremely fast SSD and 32 GB of working memory in dual-channel mode. Compared to the predecessor, the battery life is reduced only moderately, and the 4K display also basically keeps its good qualities."

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | June 2021
"The Aorus 17G isn't among the top RTX 3080 laptops due to its relatively low TGP of 105 watts. The device's gaming performance is average for an RTX 3080. For maximum performance, competitors like the Lenovo Legion 7 or the Alienware m17 R4 are recommended With the Aorus 17G, Gigabyte delivers a well-rounded gaming laptop. However, the device generates a high noise level. Throttling is not an issue. The CPU and GPU can develop their performance uniformly. Nevertheless, the device produces a lot of noise under load - more than many competitors."
