The Gigabyte Aero 16 offers a larger, high-resolution OLED screen, more storage space, and a powerful Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU which makes it excellent for intensive tasks such as 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming. However, it is heavier and might not be as portable. Conversely, the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo is lighter and has a touchscreen, contributing to better portability and convenience for business use and general productivity. It has an Intel Iris Xe GPU, which is less suited for demanding tasks. Both have premium builds and similar price points but the Gigabyte might be less suitable for travel due to its weight and size. The Gigabyte Aero 16 is good for gaming and AI, while the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aero 16 excels in gaming and 3D applications largely due to its Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card which provides robust performance for graphically intensive tasks, although its screen refresh rate is standard. On the other hand, the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo offers moderate gaming and 3D capabilities, as it comes with the less powerful Intel Iris Xe graphics built into its processor, and like the Aero 16, it also has a standard screen refresh rate.

The Gigabyte Aero 16 is very good for engineering and design, while the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo is good.
The Gigabyte Aero 16 stands out for engineering and design due to its powerful CPU, abundant RAM, high-end GPU, and high-quality OLED screen, which are essential for demanding tasks like 3D modeling and rendering. In contrast, the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo, while still suitable for engineering and design with competent CPU and RAM, relies on integrated graphics, which are less powerful than a dedicated GPU; however, it offers greater portability and a touchscreen, making it a versatile option for on-the-go professionals.

The Gigabyte Aero 16 has a better screen than the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, a laptop with a high-resolution, bright display and an IPS panel type, like the Gigabyte Aero 16, offers clear and vivid images making it a solid choice. The Gigabyte Aero 16 excels in engineering and design due to its wide color gamuts, ensuring accurate colors for detailed work. However, gamers and 3D designers may find the Aero 16 lacking due to its lower refresh rate, whereas the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo, while also offering sharp, bright visuals for general use and good color reproduction for design, similarly falls short for gaming and 3D performance due to the same limitation.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers Gigabyte Aero 16 to be very good for general use, while the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo is good.
The Gigabyte Aero 16 offers a high-resolution OLED screen, powerful CPU, and dedicated GPU, suitable for tasks that demand good color accuracy and graphics performance, but it's heavier, which impacts portability and has average battery life. The MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo is more portable owing to its lower weight and has a highly rated keyboard and touch screen, making it very versatile for everyday tasks, but its integrated graphics and less robust CPU render it less suitable for intensive visual work.

How the Gigabyte Aero 16 and the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aero 16 is a workstation laptop for light gaming. It's design is still muted, with a silver chassis alongside a black keyboard and trackpad that provides some contrast. The Gigabyte Aero’s full-size chiclet-style keyboard is enjoyable to type on thanks to its snappy feel and responsiveness. The 4K+ AMOLED display is good, but it could be better. It doesn’t handle true black very well and suffers from strong reflections and glare. The Gigabyte Aero excels at productivity performance and can keep up with other gaming laptops in 1080p. But it has very few ports and its refresh rate leaves a bit to be desired."
"The MSI Summit E14 Flip convertible review: a legit alternative to HP, Dell or Lenovo. Instead of taking the 13-inch Summit E13 Flip and simply enlarging it for a 14-inch form factor, the Summit E14 Flip is the full chassis redesign we've been looking for. It loses some of the golden trims of its smaller sibling, but the gains in rigidity and build quality are arguably worth it especially from a professional standpoint where reliability takes priority. It doesn't quite feel as strong as the HP Spectre just yet, but it's certainly getting close."
