If you prioritize high-resolution visuals and powerful performance for 3D rendering, gaming, or machine learning, the Gigabyte Aero 16 stands out with its OLED screen and dedicated graphics card. However, it comes with a higher price tag and less portability due to increased weight. In contrast, the HP Envy 17 offers a larger screen and better battery life suitable for general use and everyday tasks at a lower cost. It is more portable and provides a better balance of price to performance ratio for non-intensive tasks, despite not being as well-suited for demanding graphics or computing workloads. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aero 16 has a better screen than the HP Envy 17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
When considering screen quality for general use, the Gigabyte Aero 16 offers high resolution and brightness, which makes for crisp and vivid visuals, while the HP Envy 17 provides a balanced display that is sufficiently clear and bright for daily tasks. For engineering and design, the Aero 16 excels due to its superior color accuracy and range, covering wide color gamuts that ensure detailed and true-to-life color representation, an area where the Envy 17 is adequate but not exceptional. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the Aero 16 falls short as it lacks a high refresh rate, which is crucial for smooth movement and gameplay, while the HP Envy 17 is also not geared towards these uses as it shares a similar limitation in refresh rate.

How the Gigabyte Aero 16 and the HP Envy 17 compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aero 16 is a workstation laptop for light gaming. It's design is still muted, with a silver chassis alongside a black keyboard and trackpad that provides some contrast. The Gigabyte Aero’s full-size chiclet-style keyboard is enjoyable to type on thanks to its snappy feel and responsiveness. The 4K+ AMOLED display is good, but it could be better. It doesn’t handle true black very well and suffers from strong reflections and glare. The Gigabyte Aero excels at productivity performance and can keep up with other gaming laptops in 1080p. But it has very few ports and its refresh rate leaves a bit to be desired."
"In our test, the HP Envy 17-cr0079ng presents itself as a balanced multimedia laptop. Thanks to its solid CPU performance and dedicated entry-level GeForce, it can also be used for playing video games, as long as the demands aren't too high. Those looking for more can find it in the Dell XPS 17 for example."
